PCA Metropolitan Chapter owes its proud existence to a group of dedicated and hardworking professionals and entrepreneurs who realized that the best way to promote their welfare and advance the industry’s interests are to band themselves into a group. PCA Mandaluyong-Pasig-San Juan Chapter was formalized during July 1983 with the election of its first board with Cesar Casten as its President and Oscar del Rosario as its Vice President. Twenty six companies became Charter Members. The Chapter and its members were formally inducted as PCA members on 20 August 1983 by the Philippine Constructors Association. During 2008 the Chapter realized that the greatest portion of Metro Manila was unrepresented by PCA chapters and decided to change its name and constitution to include these areas in order to serve the industry better. With the agreement of the National PCA body the name change to PCA Metropolitan Chapter was effected during 2009 and our area of jurisdiction was increased to include the entire National Capital Region except the city of Marikina where a PCA chapter exists. PCA Metropolitan Chapter became incorporated as such on 14 October 2009.

As the oldest inducted PCA Chapter, PCA Metro is now ready to fully serve its far larger constituency and improve construction conditions for not only its members but all licensed contractors within its area of jurisdiction with its strong advocacies and programs.

We are preparing for the future and as such are keeping abreast with technologies, trends and innovations as well as developments in the construction industry both in the Philippines and abroad.

We also aware of the urgent need to conserve and protect our environment and as an Alliance Partner of the Philippine Green Building Council, a member of the World Green Building Council which is established in more than 90 countries accross the globe, we are in a position to make a difference. The launch of BERDE, the country’s first green building rating system, represents a challenge which PCA Metro is embracing.
