Invitation to the Product Standards and Conformance Seminar

Japanese Government and World Bank sponsor “Learning from Megadisasters”

The Government of Japan and the World Bank are sponsoring a knowledge-sharing initiative known as “Learning from Megadisasters.” This project involves collecting and analyzing information, data and evaluations performed by academic and research institutions, nongovernmental organizations, government agencies, and the private sector. The objective of the project is to share Japan’s knowledge on disaster risk management (DRM) and post-disaster reconstruction with countries vulnerable to disasters. The World Bank and the Japanese Government hope that these findings will encourage countries to mainstream DRM in their development policies and planning.
