PCA Metropolitan Chapter is aware of the urgent need to conserve and protect our environment and are proud to be an Alliance Partner of the Philippine Green Building Council (PHIGBC). PHILGBC is a member of the World Green Building Council WGBC) which is established in more than 83 countries across the globe and which is the undisputed leading proponent in green building practices and rating globally

WGBC requires of its members to establish Green Building Rating Systems in their respective countries, the most well known of which being LEED of the US Green Building Council. In November 2010 PHILGBC launched BERDE (Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence), the country’s first green building rating system. As PHILGBC Alliance Partner PCA Metro is in a position to make a difference for a sustainable future and BERDE represents a challenge which PCA Metro is embracing.
